It's too bad they sell these as food, they're way too cool for that. I've had a colony for a year.

I have 8 right now, that I'll put into my brackish tank when it's done cycling. But I would be interested in some more. Maybe 10? Let me know.

The fukubonsai site has about as much info on these shrimp as you'll find anywhere. Also on Petshrimp.com you can search the message board for lots of info by typing in "hawaiian" or "opae ula". There are threads about my tank of opaes as well under the same name "frugalfish".

I would not recommend trying them in freshwater only set-ups. I know one person who has tried it and the shrimp did not fair very well.
