Default Endler's

anybody familiar with this fish? My nano tank will need fish and I have had my eye on this one for a while. I also plan on having shrimp in this tank. Do you think they will be compatible?

thanks,
dale

from what I know they are very similar to guppies, and should be fine in the nano you got today, as well as with shrimp. If you are looking for some, let me know if you find any. I saw some at 405 tropical fish, but they only had males.

How lucky is that. Not 30 min after I post this thread John N. has some for the cost of shipping. I have (I think) 5 juvies on the way. He said he might add some for good breading stock. I hear they breed like rabbits so I may have some at the next meeting.

Just how often do we plan to have these meetings. They are great fun and educational. I saw a thread started for #3 but nothing inspiring.

Hope those Endler's are what I am looking for.

Endlers do breed like rabbits. And I am trying to setup another meeting, but after yesterday's meeting I realized that everyone was closer to that area. I am not even sure if my stuff will get here on time too. I started the thread just to spark some interest/suggestions...

I think the endler's will do well enough in the tank you got. You will have to regularly empty them out to keep the population down

As for the next meeting...they don't all have to center around an aquascape. They can also be educational in nature. Even though I don't use it, I've considered putting something together on how to set up DIY CO2 correctly. It may or may not come across in the way I deal with people, but I am a technical instructor for the Navy and should be able to put together a short something on just about any needed subject (especially if there is someone who has the information but isn't sure on how to present it).
