I posted this in the substrate forum as well, but my Home Depot (And maybe yours, too) has play sand for $2 a bag (50 lbs).

Exclamation

Aquatic warehouse is supposed to be getting a shipment of fish in friday. They are expecting a couple of different microrasbora's. One of the suppliers is www.cichlidexchange.com and their stock list includes maculata, urophthalmoides, and Sundadanio axelrodi ‘blue’ (Neon rasbora). I can't guarantee what they'll get in, but I'm hoping for at least one of these. There are also regular harlequins on the list.

I'm thinking about 10-15 of one of the micro's for my shrimp tank...and need to decide on the recently destocked 50g (Don't ask...it wasn't pretty).

OK...I hit Fountain's today.

Red Cherry Shrimp $9.99 a piece...and they usually give 1/2 credit if you're the one bringing them in

They also showed Bumble Bee Shrimp for $1.99 each...and I cleaned them out. They only had 5 left, but expect more in.

One other fish they had that I hadn't seen before was Brass Tetras. They had a ton of these and glolight tetras. For info on the brass tetras check out this thread.

OK...they got a shipment in but didn't have any micro rasbora's. But I gave the own a list of what would be nice (Exclamation point, mosquito and maculata) and he'll keep an eye out for them on the lists. If he sees them, he is willing to special order them for me.

Yo's Aquarium on Santa Monica and Van Ness (LA) have cherry reds for $3/ea but will sell for $2/ea if a cute girl asks (seriously). Bumblebee for $3/ea sell for $2.50/ea, but their stock die quickly.
