Default BEWARE azgardens.com

Do NOT order from azgardens.com please. Here's why:

I just received an order of plants from this company azgardens.com, I thought I was ordering an awesome variety of plants that I really wanted to use in a farm/dutch scape tank and all from a one stop online shop. But I was thoroughly mistaken.

This company has a list of ordering policies and procedures that you can find on the bottom of their page and that you agree to when checking out, one of which is a substitution policy. This is the fourth policy on their list of policies and they make sure that it is far enough down that you scroll right through it when placing an order.

"4. Substitutions & Out of Stock Issues
Sometimes, when needed, we may make subs, but only sometimes, and only with ‘similar or like’ items. If you don’t want any subs made, please tell us on your order’s shopping cart checkout notes: “NO SUBS” and we will honor your request. We do not call or email customers during our busy time of packing orders that something is out of stock. Please understand that it is just not possible for us to inform customers that something is suddenly out of stock as livestock may change day to day, even hour to hour especially when we are packing many orders and dealing with our daily carrier deadline pickup schedule."

They do not list any of their plants as out of stock and as such, to the unaware buyer, you will agree to spending money on plants that you will not receive unless you implicitly state "NO SUBS" on the comments when ordering.

This practice of business is less than moral, though legal. And I hope that the next person to look into purchasing plants from azgardens.com will not fall for this and not waste their money like I did. Out of the 7 plants that I ordered, only 2, TWO, of them were the right plant... and legally they don't have to do anything about it. Who even knows if they have the plants I bought or not.

When I reached out to them, they told me to read through the ordering agreement and threatened me to "be careful" about sharing this information with the community because defamation is illegal and can lead to lawsuit. Buuuuut, defamation relates to FALSE claims that can hurt a company's reputation, and this is simply spreading awareness of immoral business practices.

Be careful online peoples.

Please don't lol. First time I've had that happen and been into planted tanks for years. Apparently it's kind of a common practice.

I really wish I would've seen this before I dropped over $100 on an order from them. Paid $32 for shipping and they sent it out on a Thursday....not delivered until Monday. RIP plants. I put in a DOA request for refund about 2 weeks ago with no response. I also ordered Hygrophila pinnatifida, but they sent Proserpinaca palustris instead.

Requiring a minimum number of bunches for stem plants is also strange. I wanted one bunch of ambulia, but I was required to order 6. Funny thing, that was the plant that turned into mush during delivery so even with 6 ordered, I got 0.

I see that two years have not improved them. How do they stay in business?
