Pros: Small, Inexpensive, Hides well
Cons: Stops working after 1 or 2 days, Doesn't maintain temp

I purchased the Tetra Whisper heater (2-15 gallons) two times. The first one lasted two days. The second one lasted one day. The directions say "submerge in water, then plug in." That's what I did. The box and directions both say that the heater will maintain the tank temperature at 78 degrees. The first heater brought the water temp to 74 and the second made it to 70. Now my tank, plants, and fish are cold once again.
On the plus side, I really like the overall appearance of this heater. It is small and blends into the background (that would be why I purchased it the second time).
My tank is 10 gallons with a lighted hood and filter; so, if you have a smaller hooded tank, maybe it will work better.
If you buy this item, I hope you have better luck!

Pros: Pre-Set Thermostat. There is no hassle about temperature control.
Cons:

Featuring a compact design and submersible technology, the Whisper 2-15 Heater makes heating small aquariums easier and more affordable than ever. Just submerge heater in the aquarium and plug it into an outlet.

There is no thermostat to set, so there's no hassle about temperature control.

This is perfect for any Nano!
Regardless of size (large 15 gallons or small (keep it submerged)) this will work!

So, how small is your Nano? This is 4.75" in length so it can fit in any Nano (yes?) and
there is no worry about over heating or under heating. It takes all the headaches away.

Plants not growing well in your Nano? This is Pre-Set to a perfect 78 degrees Farenheit.
There is no adjusting to be done.

The heater does it all!

And I can use it in my really small Nano (the heater is submerged) and
I can use it in a 10 Gallon or 15 Gallon tank later if I want to.

Once my plant that I am nursing along starts to thrive, I can move the plant and the heater at the same time!

One less thing to buy when I set up the next tank!

Pros: Submersible, compact, good thermostat, good price, sturdy looking
Cons: no dial

Very good product. Very simple to use also. Much more accurate than the +/- kind of heater. It's almost all black color, so easy to hide. Price is good.

What I meant with "CON: no dial" is that in case you want a higher temperature in your tank (sick fish, breeding) you need an extra heater.

But this heater still get a two thumbs up!
