Pros:
Exterior Design, Flip-legs
Cons:
Noisy fans
After about a year of use the lights become very dim due to either poor bulb quality or ballest quality. I found that I had to replace bulbs on a yearly basis.

Pros:
nice look, and flip up feature
Cons:
noisy fans
i have the twin fan setup, only for about 3 months. i notice that when flipped up and i turn it on now, it seems the fans are out of balance and create quite a lot of noise. other than that the whole system stays relatively cool. i like it, not paying more money to try something else.

I bought this light kit from Aquariumplant.com. The lights themselves are perfect for those that need the most watt per dollar. I purchased the 48" Formosa DX with 4 X 65 6700k light bulbs which were included in the price. I paid 159.99 for the lights 18.99 for the adjustable stand and another 87.85 for shipping to Hawaii. The unit works well and seems to provide my plants with enough light for them to pearl. It does get hot nearest the 3 fans which in my opinion are inadequate in helping to keep the fixture cool. The fans are noisy, but bearable. I have noticed the fans make a lot of noise at start up then resumes normally. I live in Hawaii so the shipping was really the only major set back. I recommend the adjustable stands only because they make cleaning and arrangements in the aquarium simpler without having to remove the entire fixture. Overall, a good light fixture that will allow you to grow your high light plants well.
