I just got a new coralife 36" dual cf 192 watt (total) fixture. I got two 96 watt 10,000 bulbs, but was wondering if I should swap out both or one of them for a 6700 bulb. The tank size is 36x18x18.
Plants will be for medium to high light plants with a few anubias also. I can always shut down one part of the day if needed. Plan on using diy C02 till I see how it goes. The light will be sitting a few inches above tank using the adjujstable backets.

Both are just fine for planted tanks. Basically it comes down to your visual preference between the two. The 10k is a whiter color while the 6700 is a little more yellow. When I can I usually mix the two. One of each.

I have mixed bulbs 6700/10000k, and the lighting is nice and balanced. Bright enough to see but its not like a spot light on the tank.
