Ok so i have a 10 gallon aquarium that has not been in use for a while so i decided to try a rockscape which in have never done before.

I'm using these rocks that i collected from around here. I did a vinegar test and they did not fizzle so i think that they are safe for my aquarium.

I was trying to decide the rockscape but i could seem to make one that i liked a lot. Here are three different layouts.

Tell me which you like best. Suggestion and constructive criticism welcomed.

p.s. that is not the gravel i will be using

upload px to flickr or some online photo server. Once there click on the px to get the different sizes. Click on any size and get the URL of the px. image. Copy that into the window in this forum that pops up when you click the px icon on top of the box you're posting into.
SO i messed around some more with the rock and i think i like the this one the best. What type of plants do you guys think i should use? Also any criticism is welcome.:D

YES, that above rock layout I think is the best:D
I like the last one best too.
I'm with everyone else, the last layout is my favorite. The pic is a little dark so its hard to see detail, but the layout looks dynamic and the slope in the substrate is great.

A short carpet would be good with some small leaved bushes or maybe narrow grasses between and behind the rocks. How much light do you have? And what are your plans for fertilization & CO2?
I plan on using 40+ watts of light. For Co2 it is going to just be diy. With a powerfilter diffusor. For ferts i think i'll just use seachem. How does that sound? Also if you could give me some specific plant types that would be awesome.:)

I was thinking maybe HC in the front then micro sword around the plant and in the cracks with a few miniature aanubias nanas. THen in the back dwarf hair grass. How does that sound???

The plants in the rear are not aquatic, did you buy them from petco. I made that mistake too generally if the plant can hold it self up it is not aquatic.
That's what i figured. I'll just take them out in a little while. They seem to be doing ok.
