Hello all,
I have decided to create a planted tank with my new cube. I currently have MH lighting (was going to set up a reef, then became enamored with the planted tank. . .)--250 watt luminarc DE reflector w/ a Sunlight Supply Galaxy ballast. I really like the natural look of MH lighting and the shimmer effect. Is 250 watts of MH lighting too much for this dimension as far as plants are concerned? If so, would 150 watts in the same setup be more appropriate? What would I need as far as other equipment to accomodate this? I have not seen too many posts on metal halide lighting. . . .
Thank you for your advice.
