This is my 240g planted Discus tank. I would like to enter it in the AGA competition but it think it needs some better organization of the plants. I'm a bit short on inspiration, so I'm looking for some advice. The Java fern is doing wonderfully, as is the red temple talenthera. I have some baby tears growing ok, but unfortunately can't get good ground cover growing so far. The large pipe on the right won't be in final photos, it's a temporary siphon for a discus breeding tank next to this one.

This is my 150g Rainbow tank that I just replanted last weekend. I could steal any of the big plants from this one that might improve the 240. I have some other plants in other tanks as well.

Any way we could see under the hood on this one. Like the guts of it?
I don't understand what you mean. I'm happy to show it in detail, what do you want to see?
Wow Fast! Under the tank guts? PLumbing and the like. Its ok if you cant, the tank looks amazing, color is fantastic.

Thanks for sharing...:)
Look back through my blog on the topic for pictures. Filtration isn't there yet, but the rest is. I'll add filtration at some point.

very stunning set up. What are you using to pump the CO2 in?
Why doesn't mines seem like that?!?! haha

Although its quite beautiful, I still see some potential not quite filled. I can't really put my finger on it but it just seems like the organization is just a little off. But non the less, hats off to you.
Tank looks great. such a natural look to it. Only hope my tank ever looks so good
Alright, the long anticipated detailed photos and explanation of my setup.... How it's Made
I think you are on the right track with organization. I don't know what style of aquascaping floats your boat but that will be something to consider as you prepare this tank for the AGA contest. The style will determine the organization of the the layout to a degree. You have healthy, good groupings of plants you just need to figure out how you want to make it cohesive or flow together and go for it. I could drone on for hours because this the theory behind the art. I do know this much from experience is that you want to have a plan, an idea, a picture in your mind's eye of what you want this tank to look like when you snap the photo. Let that be your guide and even if the judges don't like it you will and that's really all that matters.
