Vase: 1.99
lamp: 4.00
Substraight: 6.99 (Lots left over)

I got the vase at Ikea as well as the lamp from the AS IS section.

Plants:

Glossostigma
Apongeton
Java Moss
Pellia
Cardamine Lyrata
Hygrophilia polysperma
Ricca fragments
Val
water lettuce

I think that's it.

Hardscape
driftwood twigs
rock

Animal life:
cherry shrimp
Malaysian Trumpet Snails

There is a much larger, and perhaps more practical version of this vase for 12.99 Money was short for me and this was only a temporary measure for most of the shrimp. If I had the money handy, I would have got the larger vase in a heartbeat.

This is going to be probably a Dummy question, but this is the first time I take a look a the Nano forum to look what they are and I've seen several scapes like this that show no filter at all. Arent this required in this plant only tanks? thanks for clearing this doubt to me. I own tanks with fish/plants only.

I do a water change every other day in this little system. It is possible to put in a filter, some actually bury them under the subtrate to add airation. Co2 is present in water so when I water change every other day, it freshens the water and adds Co2. The riccia adds o2 as well.

This isn't a plant only tank though. it has shrimp and snails.
