i've fixed #2 and #3 - ive increased the jpg and jpeg allowance for uploading attachments, and disabled the message system plugin. however, some people may want that re-enabled.
regarding #1 - i wasnt sure exactly what part you were having trouble with. can you clarify for me pleaase?

where are you trying to upload the picture? if its the gallery, it should be 2mb, as thats what its set to for uploads.
also, where about are you seeing your email? im not sure where you see it, so ive no idea how to fix it. i thought you meant the pm system that when you click on the persons name, you send them a message. ill go turn that back on.
finally, ive no idea what dropdowns you are referring to. can you clarify what you mean and where they are?

Cavan I just went to the Plant Finder page and each drop down does have search options listed once you click on them. Are you using the same browser on each computer? Currently I'm using Opera on a Mac and I see them.

To the Plant Finder. I have a special link/interface I use to add pictures, text, etc. Only p3r3 and I have it I believe. I will PM it to you. This is not related to the picture gallery open to all members.Hi there,

The size limit increase apparently didn't take. I tried to upload something that was 493k and got an error message saying that the size limit is 200k.

Cavan try now, I changed the size for edits, I didnt catch this when I intially fixed it.
No luck still. The same 493k photo failed to upload on both a new entry and as a new photo for an unrelated, existing one. Same 200k max size error.
I just uploaded a 380k phot and a 390k photo no problem.
You arnt using the /backup directory right?
Though the REAL issue seems to be that you are trying to upload a 493k image which is 504832 bytes, when the limit is set to 500000. I am upping the limit to 600 Kb to make sure.
