Hello everyone. I have a 75 gal, heavily planted tank with various tetras, corys, otos, and a lone honey sunset gourami. For a while now my girlfriend has wanted to get a pair of rams, bolivian or gbr.
My concern is that being the same size, and general appearance as the gourami, that he will try to attack them. Is this a valid concern, or should I just get them and make the gf happy?

Being that the tank is heavily planted, and the Rams generally stay in the lower level of the tank, I'm thinking it would work just fine. :)

Thanks for your help Jan. Decided to take the plunge and get these fish (not literally[smilie=l:).
We went with 4 of the Bolivian Rams, as the blue rams that they had didn't look too healthy.

My gourami was pretty curious at first, whacking them with his feeler fins, and following them around the tank, but now he could care less about them and is back to his sport of tetra chasing.

Here are our new friends.
