I was going to do a little emmersed setup in a 6 gal Eclipse I have laying around, but I would like to do it without a heater in the water if possible. I assume the anubias will be fine...but just wanted to see if anyone has experience or knowledge otherwise?

I have some Anubias emersed in a ten gallon lighted by a NO flourescent and the sun. Both of those provide enough heat and the plants do well. As long as you don't have the tank in a cold area, you should be fine.

You could always have a small heater submerged in a bit of water somewhere inside if temps get under about 70 or so. I've done that and it works.

With Anubias, you'll need to be more concerned with humidity than anything else.

We grow anubias and tiger lotus in our warehouse and the water temp never gets much above 60 in the winter. The water temperaure in their tank does not seem to affect their growth rate. I only wish we could keep all the other plants in unheated water.
