800 x 600 is a really low resolution. Try and increase it a couple of settings. 1024x768. Should be the nect size up. Everything will be smaller for you but you will see more, hence less scrolling.

I'm using 1600 x 1200 settings to give you an idea of size differences.

I'm constantly going over to the parents house and sitting down to a computer that is somehow using only 256 colors at the default 800x600 resolution.

And of course neither of my parents know how it got this way...

I have two 21 inch monitors side by side at work. (i'm a graphic artist for the online gaming industry) and they think by having this dual setup, both running 1200x1600 resolution that it will increase development.

I ain't complaining....

You can adjust your text size to larger under the VIEW / TEXTSIZE menu options on IE and still run the higher resolution. This should help to advoid changing resolutions as long as the website isn't forcing the text to a style sheet, if thats the case then you have no control over the text size.
