Just letting you know I have an auction of the forground plants Marsilea angustifolia and Glosso. The photo whos the Marsilea on the right with one branch of glosso on the left as a size comparision. HTat is probably 1/2 to 1/3 the amount of Marsilea you will get and I will throw in about as much glosso. Email me if you have questions. Two wondeful plants. Thanks for looking:)

SB,

I have the Marsilea growing in a sand substrate, high light, co2 etc. The glosso is in eco, same contitions. I think the marsilea would grow much faster in a better substrate. In its current conditions, one leaf will put out about 2" of runner, or maybe 10 leaf nodes, in less than a month.. Hope that was helpful, Good luck:)

I find Marsilea grows rampantly in Flourite with a cap of 0.3-0.75" of sand on top. The sand allws the runners to stay more embedded that otherwise. In plain Flourite, the root system tends to become more exposed. Actually, this plant just grows up the side of the glass, sometimes.
