Hi I got blyxa from 2 different sources. I've noticed that one developed a reddish hue while the other remained green. As far as I remember theyre supposed to be both blyxa japonica. Is this normal or could it be that I got a different blyxa? Does B. Auberti develop a reddish hue too?

Blyxa will develop reddish/bronze coloration in higher lighting. In my 20g with 5.5wpg, it was almost blood red, but in my 90g with 2.4wpg, it's more of a bronze. The parts that are shaded stay more green.

Yes, both Blyxas respond the same to light intensity. B. japonica is smaller than B. aubertii, both in height and in width of the leaves.
