If not a different species, I hope the 1 meter tall plant is merely a geographic variant. I got my B. aubertii from FAN. There may be other clones from different source regions. It has been in my tank since November and had increased from 18" to approaching the top of the 24" deep tank. Of course, it has also spread laterally. I don't want it to get much taller.
In any event, I will probably be thinning it and offering it to APC. This time I hope to put them in the correct Priority Mail box. Apparently the USPS doesn't like when you mark out FLAT RATE and apply a label for 1 lb at $4.80. They still want to charge the $10.35 even though the non-Flat-Rate box is exactly the same size.
