Hey y’all,
I’m considering getting a pair of breeding bristlenose Plecos, but I am worried that they will disturb a aqua soil substrate and make the water murky. Has anyone had this issue?

Welcome to APC!

I raise bristlenose plecos in Walstad tanks with soil substrate. Bristlenoses like caves or crevices to hide in, and the males will claim a suitable cave for breeding. Generally, they do not dig if they have ready-made caves. You can create caves with rock work, driftwood, artificial ornaments, or PVC pipe.
