I just refilled my 5 gal c02 tank 2 weeks ago and its already empty! last time it lasted me sevral months. What could be the problem here? I'm guessing I didn't screw on the regulator tight enough. any other insight?

To find any leaks, take some liquid dish soap mixed with water, and (sparingly) apply it around all the connections, with the regulator on. Any leaks will bubble. Good luck!

If you screw on the regulator fitting to the tank, while the tank is still very cold, the connection will soon be loose and will leak. I find it works best to let the tank warm up in the room for a few hours before attaching the regulator. Or, retighten the nut every half hour for a couple of hours. And, of course, don't forget the seal washer.

Also, don't worry that you will over tighten that nut. You won't unless you use a 4 foot long wrench.

Used the soapy water solution to isolate a leak on my DIY bubblecounter. It worked and a little silicone caulk fixed the leak.
