I happened to be observing my fish recently, and one of my cherry barbs emerged from the plants with a globule of what looked like snail eggs in his mouth. He was being chased around by other barbs as he greedily consumed the eggs. I was under the assumption that not many, if any fish ate snail eggs. Am I wrong? Could this fish have eaten some fish eggs that were recently laid, or could it have been snail eggs? Looked like snail eggs to me, although I'm not sure what cherry barbs eggs look like. They were eggs in a clear glob of jelly-like substance. Just wondering if anybody has any experience or insight into this issue.
