i just pulled down a tank from my attic, its been up there a few years. its pretty dirty and im gonna clean it before setting it up, but i dont wanna rish scratching it. whats the best thing to use to clean this thing and is there any special soap or anything i should use to clean it with?

You can use distilled vinegar. It will dissolve the hard water stains and won't hurt your fish. You can use a single edge razor blade for scraping if you need it, just stay away from the silicone. Good luck! :D

I used the vineger and it worked well. I got an aquarium from a thrift store and it looked like death. I used the vineger and let it sit filled outside in the sun and then I scrubbed it. It works so well. I also rinsed the tank for quite awhile. Didn't want to take any chances with my babies.;)
