When i first started with planted aquariums 5 yrs ago i had diy and ran it 24/7. For not knowing what the heck i was doing i actually had great results. With my new setup i have pressurized and a solenoid set with the lights. Is there any dangers and or precautions such as algea blooms if i switch from 12 hrs to 24 hrs.

not really. but if you inject high levels of co2 into your tank, you could kill your fish.

i inject co2 24/7 into my tank through a very efficient inline reactor at a rate of 2bps. of course this works for me, and may not work for you as well.

not worried at all about killing my fish because i have a marineland pro 30 biowheel set to my canister which originally was used to help keep the surface film from collecting. Since o2 is good then i will have to make the switch. Thanks for the responses.
