One of my Snowballs dropped eggs yesterday. To my surprise I found her this morning dead between the heater. Is this a normal part of their life cycle or should I be concerned about something else? BTW this has happened to other females in the past.
I'd say it's fairly common. You are lucky it was only a snowball shrimp. I had the same thing happen to my crystal black female (S+ grade) several weeks ago. About half of the babies hatched out and the rest died along with the mom. An expensive hobby this is........
