So I am getting a cube tank that is 22 x 22 x 23 (ok close to cube). I am going to need to find/build a stand for it. Its going in my room so i dont want a PoS stand that looks like its going to fall apart on me any second. I have *some* time to get this done (about a week or so). The trick is: I have a 15lb CO2 tank and canister filter that have to go underneath it. The Co2 tank being the tallest at around 33 inches, meaning the space inside the stand has to be at least 40 inches in length.

I am also open to purchasing a piece of furniture from a big box store and taking the shelving out (maybe just putting a door on it, provided it holds the tanks weight (around 50 gallons)

Suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. :)

I would make a 3/4" plywood box, open at the bottom, with a 3/4" plywood top, 41" tall, and 22"x22"(or 23") for the other two dimensions. Stand the box on end, put the tank on top. But, you need to get inside it. So, replace the front with a 4" wide strip across the top and bottom. Then make a 3/4" plywood door to overlap the front opening. That will be plenty strong, and will fit the tank perfectly. You can glue and nail the joints, or glue and drywall screw the joints. Sand it very well, fill the cracks and holes with wood filler, paint it the color you want.

That shape tank is perfect for a MH pendant light, so use one, with the tank open on the top.
