Well are they known to jump out of the tank?

I've only lost one, to jumping out, out of like fourteen in 2 years....

Oh, you can ignore this now. What happened was i bought three ottos from my LFS today along with another molly. I looked around 20 minutes later and couldnt find them. then all the sudden POOF there they are.

Yes, they can. I'm always surprised when they decide to congregate and I see 6 at once because I'm usually lucky to see one or two. Looking for them doesn't help because they blend in so well. I'm glad yours are doing okay. BTW, I've never had an oto jump in the 3+ years I've been keeping them.

my algae has pretty much disappeared, and the other fish in my tank leave them pretty much alone. I love my otos!
