Those bubbles that you see is Oxygen! It's the by product that comes from photosynthesis. Plants take in CO2 and they give off O2. That means that they are growing.

For the first Q it all depends on what plant and it's nutrient needs. Most plants can go for a day or 2 without out a problem. But it's best to have a balance between lights on and lights off to have proper growth in your plants.

Healthy, growing plants don't always "bubble". Mine never do. They still require more pruning than I care to do.

Bubbling occurs when the water contains as much dissolved O2 as it can. If it doesn't, the plants still produce O2 but it goes directly into solution and isn't visible.

Plants that are being gown in high light and CO2 environments grow faster and produce more O2. That's why bubbling is often seen in that environment.

i have co2 bottle and a co2 defuser.
12000k day light and pink plant light. Thats still not enough for them to grow faster and produce bubble?
What is the size of your aquarium?

What kind of plants are in it? How are they doing? In what are they planted?

Take another look at the kind of lighting that you have. What you posted is not quite right.

Its a 50 gallon size tank. I'm useing odysseas 60in bulb i think i just know its longer than my tank itself. I have 1 12000k bulb and on plant 54watt bulb( it looks pink to me) and I got on blue actinic light. I remove that actinic blue and replace it with the plant bubl 54watt one.
i have 2 hardys that dont need lights, ferns, purple looking plants not sure what the names are. and alot of lilly looking plants. I know that when i first bought the purple leave plant it was blowing bubble like krazie for the first day. After that it doesnt any more. My plants seem to be green but some leaves are fallin off. Not sure if its by itself or my angel fish messing with it.

In an aquarium tank do they need to photosyns every day? And is it bad if i dont see bubbles shooting out from the leaves every day?
If you mean that do plants need to produce sugar and starch every day, the answer is dependent on whether the plants have enough reserves of these or not (usually they have enough reserves).

Then please do understand that photosynthesis is not only used by plants to manufacture sugar and starch only. Plants carry out many types of photosynthesis they include synthesis of fatty acids, proteins, etc..

You do not need to see bubbles leaving the plant, photosynthesis will occur as long as the plants receive proper light and have the raw materials at hand.
