10,000k bulbs can look a little 'bluish' to people, but that's a personal preference. The lower kelvin bulbs can look a little 'yellow'.

Your plants should grow fine with that kelvin rating.

no problem bud.

If you'd like to read up a little more on lighting, these are from our "Science of Aquatic Lighting" section:

an overview of lightwaves for photosynthesis:
http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/.../38014-lighting-spectrum-photosythesis-3.html

this thread shows examples of the popular 9325k bulbs:
http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/science-aquatic-lighting/723-9325k-difference.html

this thread goes into discussions of different color temperature of bulbs, including the 10,000k:
http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/science-aquatic-lighting/26955-color-temperature.html

and those are just the stickies :)

if you do a search you may find more examples/answers of what you're looking for in your tank.....
