Hey guys. Any suggestions on how to dose ferts before an out of town trip ~1 wk?

I am currently using the ADA line in my new 'scape but I have the complete line of Seachem and Brightwell lines on hand as well. There are no fish in it now only Amano's

I went out of town for 1 week+ this past summer with no major problems. Heavy water change the day before leaving and dosed all macros a couple hours before leaving, micros on my way out the door. Came home to a little GSA and diatom algae on the glass, but nothing major.

(My lights were on a timer, by the way. I let them only come on 6 hrs a day when I was gone. )

I have lights and CO2 on timers. My photoperiod is short because of the MH lights (4hrs). I guess I will dose with ferts just before I leave. The fact that I have no fish yet makes it much easier.

OH CR*****P!!!

I totally forgot to check the mail the past couple days!! :faint: I've been so busy at work that I just come home and crash. I will get them this evening when I get home. I'm sure they will be fine, we have community dropboxes in the neighborhood and they are protected from extreme weather. Besides, it really hasn't been that cold. I will let you know what happens.

Edit: I just called my wife (she's on her way here to meet me for dinner and picked up the mail on her way) and she said they are here and look "green". So, I'm sure they are okay. They will get tucked into the tank tonight. :)

THANKS!!
