Or commonly called Mexican Sword I guess. Anyway my leaves keep growing above the water line in a 20gal H. tank. Should I just let them keep growing or should I cut them down??
That all depends on what you want it to do. If you want it to stay in it's place under water, you'll have to keep trimming it. If you want to see what it does emmersed, just let it grow.
Well I guess I will let a few of them grow out. I can tell that I am going to have to get rid of a bunch of the plants, cause they are multiplying rapidly.
E. palaefolius is one of these swords who grow emersed as soon as they are mature. If You want it submerged, it is perhaps better replacing the old plant by a young plantlet than cutting down the old plant.
