Elatine triandra

In addition to what the others said, I would add that it can be fussy and up and die sometimes. I finally decided it didn't retain a lot of nutrients within it, so when I was a little slack on my dosing, it went south fast. I grow in a lot higher light than most people though, so part of it was my fault.

When I've had it too it also puts out seeds you never see and months after you've gotten rid of the plant, you'll be looking in your tank and Elatine triandra babies are sprouting up everywhere.

OK. Got ET (thanx again Chris). Now, I have just started using KNO3 and KH2PO4. I have 30gal tank with 65watt 10.000K light. I have pressurized CO2 (still waiting for diffuser). How should I calculate the amount of both fertilizers?

I dose EI with it. I looked in the ferts forum under EI. I use their calculations and dose dry. My Elatine triandra has totally filled in my foreground. I've trimmed and passed some on. Love this plant!

From what I have read in the El Natural forum people just cut the stem plants at the soil line and leave the roots. Stem plants will grow more roots again. If it's a root plant like a sword then I guess it depends on if you want to keep the plant or not.
