NIKO: I read what you said on another thread that a 24W Geissman bulb puts out more usable light energy for aquatic plants than the CF units I bought for the AH fixtures I installed. If I read the post correctly I can save a bundle on energy costs by switching over. Where do I start?

Is this right? I know that the technology is moving quickly and I am waiting for the next breakthrough on LED's but if it is true that the savings between CF's and whatever the Geissman bulbs are is that significant...I'm in!
