Just thought I would share my new find. I was cutting the labels off of some new clothes with my wifes hem removal scissors that she keeps in her sewing box. I was trying to get the laundry done because I needed to trim the tank. Well, I guess you know where this is going. After asking permission of course, I tried them in the tank and they worked fantastic. They are plastic and stainless so you don't have to worry about corrosion. The pointed blades with the small opening let you precisely cut the stem you are after. Their small size and the fact that they fit in your hand make it super easy to get in all of the tight spots, and the finger loop keeps you from dropping them in. And best of all I would guess that they are probably less than $10 at the fabric store (she couldn't remember how much she paid for them). The only downside I could find is you do have to get your arm wet, which is no different from the regular scissors I am used to using. With the expensive ADA scissors you might not have to get your arm wet, but the control of these well makes up for it (along with the price).
