fertilizing micro and macro together

1449 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  freshreef
Often I read suggestions about not mixing micro and macro at the same moment or even at the same day. For example, po4 might react with iron oxide thus creating an insoluble forms unavailable to plants (iron phosphate in this case).

Is this true? if so, does it really have a serious impact on plants? Can anyone state other suggestions related to fertilizing?
Thanks.

Hi
it is better to keep TE Trace Elements separately, not mixed with other nutrients.
But in aquariums, I've been dosing daily macro nutrients and micro nutrients together at the same time with no problems.
