Ok, I have a 85L/22g long, that is awaiting some fish (Is being kept cycled with some feeder goldfish, which will be going into a dam/pond)

I hope to mildly plant it..

I plan on a large shoal of Rummynose Tetras and a bunch of Kuhli Loaches :p

Problem: I am stuck whether to keep GBR's (German Blue Rams) or Pearl Gouramis.

I am somewhat leaning towards the Pearls, but would really love some opinions/advise/thoughts from people who have read/experienced having these fellas..

Personally I don't think a 22g tank is really big enough for Pearl gouramis as they get ato quite a size. A pair of rams should be fine in a tank that size though.

I agree, pearls would look out of place. I'd do the rams over the pearls.

Are you going to release the goldfish into a dam/reservoir when you're done with them? Or did you mean a backyard pond?

The goldfish are going into a backyard pond/dam... I call it a pond/dam because it is quite clear like a pond and has plants and stuff, but is pretty large! It has other goldfish in their too.

I agree, the Ram's would be a much better choice because of the size of your tank, and the fact that the Gourami's may be a bit to much for the Rummies.

Keep us posted. :)
