Hey everyone I have been a little confused about why every time I try to grow a foreground plant it never grows and actually dies while all my other plants prosper. My goal would be to have a very low lying plant that will spread across the substrate and create a carpet on the floor of my aquarium. I have been told that I don't have enough light penetrating to the bottom. I mainly have tried baby tears with no success. So what do you all think? Do I need more light? If so, for my next purchase what lamps do you recommend? Also if you have any plant suggestions feel free ;)

+1 for Marsilea. It's a great little plant and will grow into shaded spots and keep on truckin'.
