I bought a 10lb compressed CO2 system and the reactor is a RIO 50 (69 gph) the churns the bubbles in a chamber capped with a sponge.

I have no clue how big the tank was that it came out of but mine is 130g, is the GPH adequate enough to kick out my CO2 or do I need to upgrade the Rio to one of higher output?

On large tanks it may be best to use 2 reactors or inlets for CO2 into the tank. Otherwise make sure you have lots and lots of water movement in the tank to distribute the CO2 evenly

the problem with having such a small reactor is that the co2 may not get sufficient opportunity to get absorbed into the water before being expelled into the tank.

a suggestion is to return the reactor if you haven't used it yet and build your own. just check out the sticky on how to DIY your own in the DIY board. you can build your own for ~$20 i think.
