I recently got a teeny tiny red lotus bulblet. It's about 1/8" long by about 1/16" in diameter. There's no way to "plant" the bulb "halfway" into the substrate as it's too small. What do I do with it? Can it float until it gets bigger?

Here's what I do with tiny plants. It might work for your bulblet. Get a small (very small) piece of slate. Tie it to the bulb with sewing thread. That should sink it and still let light hit it.

If that small, I would be concerned that the glue might cover the bulb.

Another option to consider is after securely tying the bulb to the slate, you might add a drop of glue to the thread and rock on the reverse side of the bulb.

It came wrapped in floss with a weight around it - as is typically done with plants you get int he store. When I unwrapped it, I expected to find a normal size bulb, not the teeny bulblet.

Trying to tie the bulblet to anything seems impossible due to the size. That's why I was asking about using glue.

I have decided to rewrap it in the floss with the weight and will leave it wrapped until I see a bunch of roots coming out the bottom.

I rather suspect that this purchase is going to end up being a waste of $$
