Hi Everyone!
I am Kaya and I am new to the aquarium hobby and growing submerged aquatic plants. After reading posts from this forum for a few months I thought I should join. I really enjoy reading from all the knowledgeable members of this group. There is so much to learn!
I am a plant geek at heart and a trained botanist with deviations into the domains of riparian and wetland ecology, so hopefully I'll be able to add to this community and not just be a passive reader.
About a month ago I bought a 40 gallon breeder off CL and set it up with lots of Rotala rotundifolia, Hygrophila difformis, Crypt crispatula var. balansae, C. wendtii, and Eleocharis acicularis. I used a flourite/gravel mixture (to save some $) for substrate. I'm using the Fluval Planted 2.0 LED for lighting and an Eheim 2213 for filtration.
I'll post some pics once it grows in a little.
Thanks!
