I just picked up a bunch of Potamogeton Gayi from an aquarium club and am soaking it in an bucket with a heater in it. The problem is I am going on vacation for seven days tomorrow and I dont have time to plant this. Can it survive for seven days in a heated bucket no extra light. I could put it near a window so it gets indirect sunlight during the day.
your help is appreciated as I am going tomorrow morning.
thanks

IMO seven days will be a long time to be in a bucket with a heater. My advice would be to drop it in the tank and leave it floating, I think it would survive better.

Do as jmontee suggested or at least place a light over the bucket. It can grow natant well enough until you can get around to anchoring it in the substrate.
