I have this C. furcata growing for 3 months. It seems to grow like my C.caroliniana with smaller internode length as it gets nearer to the light but i never got it to red. It did once turn into a nice golden brown color. I use rainwater (tank is 11 gallons) with weekly dosing of diy iron that would yield 0.1ppm and the light is a 32 watt white LED with 10 hours on and 5 hours off. No CO 2 supplementation

It always gets reddish toward the top meaning it's the stronger light. Careful with a stronger light. It means more CO2 and nutrients or algae will take over.
