well generally I think it's

Litres x 13
--------------- = number of bubbles per minute
100

but I dont think this is right, as that would mean say in my tank I should have 1 bubble every 5 seconds, it's more like 1 every second!

If your KH is 5 and your ph is 7 that's about 16mg/l CO2, which is about right?
