About a month ago I received some Elatine tiandra and planted it in my 75g. Within a week it had grown to a nice size patch. Since I was getting ready to go on vacation, I separated it and planted it in various areas of the foreground of my tank. Upon returning from my week long vacation, the elatine had spread all over the foreground of my tank!

Large sections of it have now begun to float to the surface. What is the best way to go about thinning elatine? I’ve read that it doesn’t take to trimming too well. Does it need to be uprooted, separated, and replanted versus trimming?
