Their mouths are pretty small and they mostly feed in the mid water so you'd need slow sinking small pellets or live daphnia.

i love threadfins! baby brine ( frozen or live) works well. I never could find a pellet they would eat, but flakes as they were sinking were fair game.

I had some with endler hybrids. It made them more gregarious I think and they learn what to eat like small pellets. The threadfins would display at the guppies too :)
