Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or has heard about it happening to someone else.

I started dosing maracyn tc a week ago to combat some fin rot on one of my corys. A few days later I noticed that all of my hygro carombosa's new growth had started to turn red. I'm convinced the maracyn is the cause, but is it from the medication itself, or is it because the maracyn tints the water red?

These plants have been in the tank for a year now with no changes to the lighting(low light), ferts, etc. They have never done this before prior to this time.

is the new growth closer to the surface and lighting? some plants give off shades of red if this is the case. usually fish treatments don't contain anything that would affect plants. of course i could be wrong on that.
Some of it is, but some of the new growth that is changing color is low too, about 18 inches from the light.
