Hi there,

I am after an ID on this moss, I apologize for the poor pictures, I guess a macro lens into a tank shows marks and scratches more lol ok well this moss was sold from the lfs as Fontinalis but I am unsure if it is that or java or some other moss any help would be great

It is definitely not fissidens fontinalis. This it what it looks like, it has more of a feathered appearance.

It looks more like christmas moss or some other vesicularia.

It could be Fontinalis, (Willow moss). Its more brown in color than green. Its easy to get the names mixed up, but Fontinalis sp and Fissiden sp are entirely different.

I thin it's a Vesicularia. Fontinalis species have leaves (if it's proper to call them that) that overlap, as in picture I've added here.
