i'm sorry i don't have any pictures to post...

but what i've done in my tank is get some narrow, tall pieces of driftwood and arranged them in the back. i grow plants like java fern on them at higher elevations. i'm not exactly GAINING extra floor space... i sacrifice a little underneath to gain a ridge halfway up... but the effects are nice. covers up the back of the tank a little, gives it some "depth" and allows you different levels of planting. you can actually see the other plants far in the back without worrying about the front ones completely covering them. it also reduces the need to use fast-growing stem plants to form a "wall" in the back (because i HATE trimming them so often!!).
