Not the same plant.
Lagarosiphon madagascarensis is very fine leaved and stemmed.
Take it out of water and it cannot hold its form. Najas, usually is
a lot stiffer in form, very brittle and holds its form out of water.
There are numerous other differences - this is just a simple way
of telling them apart without going into all the other details.
