So I have a spare 5g tank and thought about trying a high lighted planted tank. I've had other tanks before with just basic lighting and plants but want to to something a little different. I have a 36w Power compact flourescent system with a 10k bulb. Not sure if this would be too much light for a little 5g. If it would work I'm sure i would need C02 to go along with it. Just wondering what might work well. Looking for something cheap. Would something like the Red Sea turbo Co2 system work?

I was even thinking of using a small regulator with a small paintball co2 canister

Didn't know if anyone had any experiences with either systems? Thanks for any info! Cant wait to set something up

The Rio with a paintball canister. Make a bubble counter because there is no low side gauge. You can do this by filling a gatorade bottle half way with water. Use a glue gun or silicone to seal the in ( from co2 source ) and out ( to aquarium ).

Can you please post updates when finished with setup.

would i still need to use the needle valve along with a bubble counter? Sorry new to all of this. What about that red sea turbo co2? Is it worth anything or would it just be better off using a canister?
