Looking for Pros and Cons between the Hydor Koralia and the Hagen Aqua Clear Power Head (or other makes)?

Both come in various models (sizes) but I didn't see a lot of specs (physical dimension, capacity, etc).

Not sure which model would be appropriate for a 70 planted tank (to increase water flow).

just replied to your question in my thread:

i've used the hagen powerhead and currently using the koralia 1 circulation pump. i prefer the koralia because it's less obtrusive than the hagen powerhead. i've also used the zoo-med oscillating powerhead, which crapped out after a little while.

both the hagen and zoo-med draw water in and then pushes it out. the koralia's screw blade just pushes the water, similar to an outboard motor.

Advantages to the Koralia
-moves quite a bit of water
-moves water gently...doesn't seem to blow plants over
-easier to position flow where you want it
-magnet mount is great

Disadvantages
- can't use a foam prefilter for extra filtration
- can't be used to power other devices like UVS or reactors
- still fairly large. Probably comparable to a ph though
